19 of the 27 books of the New Testament are forgeries. And there are contradictions in the New Testament..
- In the first book of Corinthians, Ehrman says, the Apostle Paul insists that women should remain silent in church (1 Corinthians 14:35-36). Sorry gals..
- In the 16th chapter of the book of Romans, Paul's writes that women could and should be church leaders and they were serving as deacons and apostles in the early church.
- The resurrection stories contradict each other.
- Whether or not Christ was the Son of God, is not based on anything Christ or his Apostles actually said. .. ?
- Heaven, and Hell, are also not based on anything Christ or his Apostles actually said. This is a bit easier to track down.
And all. Much more than this... ?

Isn't at all just a BIG contradiction anyway?
First. Its kind of about translation, really - with this guy. For example, the statement that women are supposed to be silent in church? The original aramaic told a story actually about women that were in the church, interrupting sermons, asking questions .. and the word was translated roughly as .. "those women over there should be silent" , but in victorian england and beyond .. it was translated as 'women' meaning all women. So. Thats what she
said at least. I guess that
explains that part of it.

My wife , as she spins out slowly is becoming ever more evangelical. Sometimes fundamentalism is a shield from the world. A way we use not to deal with things.
