The Dark Moment's Message

This is a dark moment
look into it and see nothing
faint traces of blood and the color of the sky
at four in the morning

It is one of many moments
and darker than I have ever seen before
in this moment we have nothing left to protect us
no armor no sense of what is right no aphorism
intuitively we gauge our strength against it

Its sheer cliff walls spread up on either side
nothing but raging sea below
and to right, sheer cliff
there is only one way
the enemy will come

I am outnumbered, but those I have around me
know what to do against the evil eye
And just tonight
Darkness sent its message

"If I enter your home I will level it to the ground"
