The Dream
Language doesn't seem to be taught by formal education. Every parent seems to believe that their kid will speak, and seems to be able to draw out, without any real formal plan. They certainly dedicate themselves to the task, active listening. For both tone, and word. I wonder sometimes what it means to be a good parent, to bring out the giftedness in each child. Their different learning styles. How do we adapt and help them to grow. One thing is certain. Raising children has an endpoint.
Kids. The good dream.
Son: "I'd like to thank the nobel committee for awarding to me this prize for .."
Daughter: "As president, It brings me great pleasure to report the colonization of mars.. "
And then... the bad dream.
Son: "Would that be Paper or plastic, sir? .."
Daughter: " Doctor, will you loosen these straps please?"
